What is Vermiculite stone – how it works
Vermiculite interacts with potassium, calcium and magnesium in your soil. It also helps to increase the pH of your plant although it has a neutral pH of 7.0. Vermiculite is made from a compressed dry piece of absorbent silicate material. The color of vermiculite is a golden brown to a dark brown. When water is added to vermiculite, the pieces will expand into a worm-like shape and act as an absorbing sponge. You may want to touch their beads as soon as you see them.
