Phenolic resins are compounds that combine phenol and formaldehyde, creating large networks of permanently linked molecules.
Industrial applications:
The product has good fluidity, strong wetting ability to fibers, and low free phenolic content. The friction coefficient of the finished product is stable, has strong heat recovery, and less wear and tear. Mainly used in the manufacture of friction products such as PC&CV brake pads, train brakes and clutch surfaces
Phenolic resin is mainly used in the manufacture of electrical parts such as switches, sockets and plugs, daily necessities and other industrial products, used to manufacture highly insulating parts.
They are non-conductive and flame retardant, so they are a good choice for laboratories or any environment where compliance with fire safety, exhaust smoke, combustion and toxicity standards is required.
